Thousand island mayonnaise

Here at The Healthy Employee, our mantra is to avoid all processed foods. However, this doesn't mean that you'll be missing out or unable to have any of your personal favourites. You simply have to become inventive in the kitchen. By combining natural ingredients, you have made your very own 'processed' food, except there's no rubbish involved and you know exactly what you're eating!


  • 150ml mayonnaise
  • 1 TBS stuffed olives, chopped
  • 1 tsp onion, finely chopped
  • 1 hard-boiled egg, chopped
  • 1 TBS green pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 level tsp tomato puree


Amber tick

  1. Put all of the ingredients into a bowl and mix together well
  2. Store, covered, in the fridge for up to 3 days; stir before using
