Health Assessment Information

The 30 minute Health Assessment is an important and positive tool to help you understand your present health and wellbeing. By completing the assessment, you are made aware of a snapshot of your current and potential health risks. This information provides you with the knowledge and opportunity to improve your overall health and wellbeing by adopting healthier strategies such as increased exercise, healthier eating habits and increasing your overall health awareness.

After completing your assessment you will receive your PDF report on the same working day. This report provides a summary of your health risks and health status with recommendations for future health risk reduction strategies.

Your Health Assessment Report contains the following sections:

  • Lifestyle results including activity at work and at leisure
  • Smoking
  • Alcohol consumption
  • Perceived Stress
  • Perceived Eating Habits
  • Body Mass Index
  • Weight
  • Body fat percentage
  • Visceral fat (the fat that sits around your organs)
  • Muscle mass percentage
  • Blood pressure test
  • Resting heart rate
  • Waist To Hip Ratio
  • Blood glucose test (pin prick test)
  • Total Cholesterol test (pin prick test)

How to prepare for your Health Assessment

To help ensure your results are as accurate as possible for your snapshot Health Assessment please take the following steps:

  • Ensure you are hydrated by consuming the recommended guidelines of 1.5 – 2 litres of water daily. Ideally this should be your regular habit to ensure adequate hydration levels. Please do not consume this quantity in one go prior to your Health Assessment but spread your consumption sensibly throughout the day.
  • Do not exercise for up to 120 minutes prior to your Health Assessment.
  • Blood pressure – we will need to wrap the blood pressure monitor cuff around your left upper arm. Therefore please wear loose clothing and/or avoid tight fitting shirts.
  • Shoes and socks will be required to be removed for the body composition analysis however the machine can usually take the measurements through fine tights however please be aware that on some occasions this is not possible and therefore we will ask you to remove tights to enable the reading to take place.
