How To Boost Yourself During The Short Winter Days

With winter upon us, many of us tend to finish our days at around the same time that daylight fades. However, we often don’t think twice about partaking in something after the working day during the warmer summer months. Winter should be no exception when it comes to maintaining your ‘get up and go’. 

It can be easy to fall into a routine of simply existing during the cold and dreary months of the year, but instigating a plan of action when it comes to maintaining your ‘zing’ will enable you maintain a better level of health and wellbeing physically, psychologically and emotionally. 

 

  1. Eat real food and avoid processed products as they will decrease energy and lower mood
  2. Buy food that is in season, it will be tastier and cheaper.
  3. Liven up your dishes with herbs and spices.
  4. Bulk cook and store portions in the freezer for those evenings that you can’t be bothered.
